Believing God Can Work Around Me, In Me And Through Me (Part I)
2 Corinthians 4:13 "We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;"
- Faith is not quiet. What we believe we will eventually talk about, even if it is wrong.
- Because of good faith and if it is truly of God, we speak what we believe is from God and that allows God to work through us.
- Because of faith, we believe that we are His off-springs and that faith in who we are, should causes us to do God type things.
Acts 17:28 "For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring."
- It is the nature of faith to speak, based on the confidence of who you are, whose you are and what you believe you can do.
- When you do not know things, you speak randomly, live a victimized life, and pattern yourself after everyone and everything. Consequently they own you.
- After salvation AND conversion, God is our environment and the totality of our being. For this cause, that awareness makes us act as He does, make boasts and we deliver on them as well.
- And because we believe, we are not ashamed to speak and expect things of our speaking.
- It is our faith that validates our words. Faith makes words work.
- It is important, though, that faith precedes the words we speak.
Romans 10:10, 11 "For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed."
- True faith dismisses shame.
- Once words of faith, not just hope, are released they produce results.
- Such faith is based on one’s authorized standing with God. If their life is not right before God, they lack the faith and confidence to speak true faith-filled words.
Hebrews 4:12 "For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart."
- God’s Word works in us. It is alive and functional, precise and thus not damaging. It waste no time going one direction.
- The Word works in any direction it moves and never wastes movement.
- Because of it’s precision, and because it is a living being, and not a merely language, it/He has feelings and feels what we feel.
- God goes where He is needed.
- We find it difficult to treat man professionally or domestically. In our most noble efforts we can damage him or not even do a sufficient enough job. When we think we are helping them, we hurt them sometimes. The Word finds His way through joint and marrow as well as soul and spirit. There is a difference, a big difference. We sometimes minister to the soul when the spirit of a man is off kilter. Sometimes a matter is more soulish than spiritual or the other way around. When a man is out of place with God, his soul (mind, will and emotions) are bound to be confused and threatened. On the other occasions, we need to minister to people’s soul with right information, teaching and renewal so that they do not conflict with the Holy Ghost.
- The Word works long after it is preached or read. It is a mirror that brings people face to face with themselves—even in their dreams.
- It would be difficult for the most meticulous human to surgically do what the word does. The word goes between joint and marrow, even to thoughts and intents.
- Men usually have to get a person them see themselves as they really are. Therapists and counselors are usually at the mercy of what the counselee reveals about themselves. Otherwise, the counselor usually has no answers. The Word goes there anyway, even when the person is silent. It deals with your present (thoughts) and your future (intents).
- The Word reveals things about you that, not even you, can reveal or even know.
- The Word can treat you, heal you and cleanse you—even your thoughts.
James 3:8-13 "But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God. Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be. Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter? Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? either a vine, figs? so can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh. Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom."
- The tongue has its own nature and tends to operate on the side of evil. It is uncontrollable and possesses the ability to corrupt the environment of the speaker. One misplaced statement can scar or even kill.
- Tongues create worlds, a trait we enjoy due to all humans enjoying being created in the image of God.
- Just as the tongue creates bad things, though, we, by accepting the full image of God, can bring the tongue under control so that we can produce good things
- Talk about what you want. Want a good marriage? Talk good about your mate. Talk about the good in your life. Share your dreams and aspirations rather than your downfalls and nightmares. Want good health? Don’t always rehearse your sicknesses. Your life produces after your thoughts and your words “12 Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? either a vine, figs? so can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh.”
- We must become consistent and develop stable language. This comes about by:
Romans 12:2, 3 "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith."
- Do not conform to the world’s thinking or else you will talk as they talk and create an evil environment for ourselves
- Allow yourself form to be changed [transformed] by exposing yourself to good information, being reminded of what you have forgotten and updating yourself.
- In the natural, it is important that you challenge your belief system so that you do not believe what can potentially be spoken out of you. Challenge your thinking.
- Don’t say what you think.
- Continual criticism, being judgmental and putting other people down is a result of our thinking we are in a better position than they are. Don’t think too highly of yourself.
- Also we should not think so low of ourselves that you belittle yourself..
- Be yourself
Take lessons from the wise
- It is unwise and stupid to talk about what you don’t enjoy or don’t want to become.
- Refuse to discuss other people’s failures.
- You become what you hear, believe and say. Talk to yourself.
Your prayer should be:
Psalm 19:14 "Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer."
Your confession should be:
We should say that we are: Psalm 139:14 "I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works;"
Your Belief should be:
Psalm 118:6 "The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?"
